Commonwealth Video games 2022: Pakistan secures two extra medals in wrestling

BIRMINGHAM: Pakistani wrestlers Mohammad Sharif Tahir and Ali Asad bagged silver and bronze medals for Pakistan in Commonwealth Video games 2022.

Tahir misplaced to India’s Naveen Naveen in Males’s Freestyle 74kg wrestling occasion to complete with a silver medal, whereas Asad defeated New Zealand’s Suraj Singh inside 55 seconds to win a bronze medal within the Males’s Freestyle 57kg class.

Sharif fell wanting Naveen’s counter-attacks as his arch-rival bagged 9 straight technical factors to bag gold.

He joined his compatriots Inam Butt and Zaman Anwar to bag a silver medal for Pakistan in Commonwealth Video games 2022.

In the meantime, Asad was good together with his grip as he rattled Singh by gripping him from his legs and rolled him out of the mat to realize 10 factors. Asad bought his palms on a bronze medal as the ultimate rating learn 11-Zero.

The Pakistani wrestler misplaced his semi-final to Indian counterpart Kumar Ravi.

This was Pakistan’s third bronze in ongoing Commonwealth Video games 2022.
